There is something about the 4th of July that needs red, white, & blue desserts. Most holidays have a few colors associated with them but America's Independence Day is the one that has the most colorful desserts. It does help that berries are in season and plentiful this time of year. It is easy to get those gorgeous colors without resorting to artificial food coloring.
Here are some of my favorite desserts and tips to make them both red and blue!
Braided Blueberry Cheese Danish just needs a few raspberries or chopped strawberries.
Add some blueberries to my Strawberry Shortcake Pound Cake.
Raspberries Filled with Chocolate Ganache can go perfectly on top of a scoop of
whipped cream and some blueberries for a 10 minute no bake treat.
For a treat, you can drink just float some blueberries in my Raspberry Sangria.
I asked some of my blogging friends to help me out by sharing their favorite red, white, & blue desserts. Here they are:
Red, White, and Blue Tart from Counting All Joy
Fruity Summer Delight from Mrs. Criddle's Kitchen (just use red and blue berries)
