Free Guide! Feed a Family on a Low Carb Diet

In this free 5-day email series learn all my tips for incorporating a low-carb lifestyle into the life of your family.

I know there are a lot of people that don't like or at least think they don't like cauliflower. I used to be right there with you. But when it's cooked properly, it can be such an incredible alternative to foods that are packed with carbs. This is especially a great alternative to classic breaded Chicken Parm when you're watching calories or carbs.

The great thing about cauliflower is that it has a mild flavor and can easily take on flavors of the spices and sauces you use. So it's great for disguising and getting your kiddos to eat it. This parmesan cauliflower is so yummy once they take a bite they are going to love it. They won't even have a clue that it's good for them. Make sure you put this in your favorites!

    How To Make Cauliflower Parmesan

This has quickly become a new household favorite. Adding parmesan to the cauliflower is amazing and adds so much flavor. It's hard not to want more than one helping. Okay, let's get started so you can be the judge and make your own.

First Step: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Prepare a large cookie sheet by adding parchment paper and set aside.

Second Step: Rinse off the head of cauliflower using cool water, then take paper towels and pat it dry. Put the cauliflower on a cutting board and slice so that you have ¼ inch slices. The pieces of cauliflower should look similar to chicken cutlets.

hand spooning sauce on cauliflower slice

Third Step: Put the slices of cauliflower on the cookie sheet. Then sprinkle with pepper and garlic salt. Add the sauce to the cauliflower slices using a spoon.

hand putting cheese on cauliflower slices

Fourth Step: Add parmesan cheese on top and bake for 30-45 minutes. The cauliflower parmesan should be golden brown, and the sauce and cheese should be melted and thickened. Remove the cooked cauliflower from the oven and let it cool for 2-3 minutes. Serve with your favorite veggies or even a side salad. Enjoy!

    Is Cauliflower Healthy?

Yes, of course, this sheet-pan parmesan cauliflower is very healthy. It is made with foods that are nutrient-rich, and you will get so much goodness from it. Cauliflower has lots of vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, potassium, vitamin B6, fiber, manganese, and more. So if it's not already in your diet, you should really consider adding it.

Onions have vitamin C, folate, potassium, and vitamin B6, and so much more. Garlic is more than just a delicious ingredient to add to all your favorite recipes! It has manganese, vitamin B6, fiber, selenium, calcium, copper, iron, potassium, phosphorus, and more.

Can I Make Cauliflower Parmesan Ahead Of Time?

Yes, making the parmesan cauliflower ahead of time is a great way to have an easy lunch for the week or whatever your intentions are. Simply prepare the dish as directed then store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Keep it in an airtight container, and it tastes great as a leftover.
