- Ready in about 30 minutes
- Naturally low carb and gluten free

- Easy to customize with your favorite vegetables
Before You Get Started
- Fresh or frozen broccoli both work well.
- Chop the broccoli into small bite-sized pieces.
- Spray the pie plate well to prevent sticking.
- Shred your own cheese for the best melting texture.
- Let the quiche rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Ingredients
- Broccoli – Fresh broccoli florets or thawed frozen broccoli both work.
- Shredded cheese – Freshly shredded sharp cheddar creates the best broccoli cheddar quiche with plenty of flavor, but any favorite cheese works.
- Eggs – This is the main ingredient used to make the quiche.
- Half and half – Adds richness and creates a creamy texture. You can substitute cream cheese or heavy cream for an even richer filling.
- Salt and pepper – Season to taste.

How to Make Broccoli Quiche
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray olive oil cooking spray in a deep dish pie plate.

Step One: Spread the broccoli evenly over the bottom of the pie plate. Sprinkle the cheese over the broccoli.

Step Two: Blend the eggs, half-and-half, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli.

Step Three: Bake until the center is set and the top is lightly golden brown.

Step Four: Let rest for several minutes before slicing and serving.
Top Tip💡
The easiest way to get a smooth egg base for a quiche is to blend it in a blender. It mixes up in seconds. Alternatively, you can whisk it in a large bowl.
Variations
- Add Vegetables – Spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, green onions, or halved cherry tomatoes all work well. For firmer veggies, cut into very small pieces or sauté them first until they are soft.
- Different Cheese – Swiss, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Gruyère, or pepper jack are delicious.
- Spices – Add garlic powder, onion powder, fresh herbs, smoked paprika, or any other seasonings you enjoy.
- Add Protein – Stir in cooked bacon, sausage, diced ham, or shredded chicken.
- Add a Crust – Use your favorite prepared pie crust if you prefer a traditional broccoli cheese quiche. You can swap in the crust from my Keto Quiche Recipe.

Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I enjoy leftover quiche cold right from the fridge. You can also reheat individual slices in the microwave or warm the whole quiche in a 300°F oven until heated through.

Common Questions
Yes. Thaw it completely and pat it dry before adding it to the quiche so excess moisture doesn’t make the filling watery.
Absolutely! If using a homemade pie crust or refrigerated pie shell, blind bake it first to help prevent a soggy bottom, especially since the egg filling contains quite a bit of moisture.
Absolutely. Bake it a day ahead, refrigerate, and simply reheat before serving.
Yes. Wrap individual slices tightly and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
Fresh fruit, a green salad, breakfast sausage, bacon, roasted potatoes, or cottage cheese all make excellent side dishes.
