    These Asian Burgers with Broccoli Slaw are full of flavor, the broccoli slaw adds crunch and texture, and they are great on a low carb bun or with a knife and fork. They are delicious and filling. This easy recipe is low carb, keto, gluten-free, grain-free, sugar-free, and Trim Healthy Mama friendly.

    We love burger night at my house. Most of the time we stick to classic toppings like cheese, pickles, and mayo. But I do like to switch things up a bit with fun flavorful options. These Asian Burgers with Broccoli Slaw really hit the spot when we were craving something a little different.

    Low Carb Hamburger Buns

    When a sample arrived in the mail for me from SmartBun I had to make a burger so I could try one. Like that minute. Luckily, I had just gotten home from the store with both ground pork and broccoli slaw. The perfect ingredients for Asian Burgers. I really enjoyed having my burger on a bun. It has been over a year since I've actually had a burger on a bun. The bun was light and fluffy but held up being loaded with toppings, cut in half, and eaten hastily. By the time I was done cooking this and taking pictures I was starving. It really was amazing to be able to eat a burger on a bun again! SmartBuns are gluten free, low carb, and THM approved.

    How to Make Asian Burgers

    These burgers are made the same as most other types of burgers. Just mix together the ground meat, chopped veggies, and seasonings. Once that is done you can either pan fry them or grill them.

    Burger Ingredients:

    1. ground pork or turkey
    2. chopped sweet peppers
    3. chopped green onions
    4. garlic powder
    5. ginger
    6. soy sauce or coconut aminos
    7. salt

    How to Make Broccoli Slaw

    Starting with pre-shredded broccoli slaw makes this burger topping come together in about 2 minutes. Just mix together the broccoli slaw with the seasonings.

    If you prefer to save the stalks of your fresh broccoli and shred your own broccoli slaw you are welcome to do that. My bag of broccoli slaw also included a little shredded carrot and red cabbage for color but those are optional. For another great recipe try my keto broccoli slaw.

    Broccoli Slaw Ingredients:

    2. soy sauce or coconut aminos
    3. ginger
    4. garlic
    5. sesame oil
    6. olive oil
    7. apple cider vinegar
    8. salt

    What to serve with Asian Burgers?

    These are really a meal all on their own! Some great side options are jicama fries, a green salad with extra Asian dressing (just double the dressing that goes with the broccoli slaw), or even keto cauliflower mash.

    Ingredients

    Burger Ingredients:

    • 1.5 lb ground pork or turkey
    • â…“ cup chopped sweet peppers
    • â…“ cup chopped green onions
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon ginger
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or coconut aminos
    • ½ teaspoon salt

    Broccoli Slaw Ingredients:

    • 12 oz bag of broccoli slaw
    • 1 teaspoon soy sauce or coconut aminos
    • 1 teaspoon ginger
    • 1 teaspoon garlic
    • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
    • 2 teaspoon olive oil
    • 2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    US Customary - Metric
    Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat. Combine all the burger ingredients. Form 6 burgers. Spray pan with cooking spray. Fry the burgers until they are cooked through and register 160 degrees on a meat thermometer.
    • Combine all the ingredients for the broccoli slaw and mix well. Serve with the cooked burgers.

    Notes

    Trim Healthy Mamas: This could be a THM FP meal if you use very lean ground turkey.

      So so good! I heated the slaw slightly and added a little melted natural peanut butter.

      This was amazing, I added a slice of pepper jack on each burger and served it without a bun!!5 stars
