Plus, the texture once it’s cooked will have everyone shocked that it’s actually a low carb recipe!

Take yourself on a new culinary journey and make this easy pork chop recipe. It’s one of my favorite air fryer recipes and such an easy way to make an amazingly delicious meal. Ingredients

For the complete measurements needed, scroll down to the printable recipe card.

Boneless pork chops – I recommend using 1/2-inch thick pork chops. Adds a good texture and flavor.

Pork rind crumbs – You can make these yourself using your food processor. Almond flour is a good sub if you don’t have pork rinds.

Parmesan cheese – Freshly grated parmesan cheese adds a ton of yummy taste.

Garlic powder – This pairs well with the other flavors.

Salt – To taste. If your pork rinds are salted you may want to omit added salt entirely.

Pepper – To taste. Black pepper will enhance the other flavors.

Egg – This is basically an egg wash that binds the ingredients together to form a crispy coating.

Heavy whipping cream – Combines with the egg to create a sticky coating.

Common Questions

How do I make crushed pork rinds?

You want to pork rinds to be a fine texture to be able to coat these air fryer pork chops. The best way to crumble and crush up the pork finds is to use the food processor. Just be sure that you’re paying attention and don’t process them too much. You want them to be the same texture as bread crumbs, not so thin that they become a sticky mess. They work great as a sub for bread crumbs on a ketogenic diet.

Should I use thick cut or thin cut pork chops?

You can use any type of meat or thickness that you want, but I’ve found that meat that is 1/2 inch thick works best for easy recipes like this. It’s also my personal preference to use boneless pork chops, but if you wanted to use bone-in chops, that would still work.

Can I use bone-in pork chops?

I prefer boneless chops in this recipe but if you have bone in pork chops those will still work to make parmesan pork chops.

At what temperature is pork safe to eat?

Using a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature is key for making sure that the pork is cooked and done. Once the cooking time of the air fryer has been completed, the internal temperature should read at least 145 degrees.

If you do decide to use pork with a bone in it, make sure that you are not putting the thermometer anywhere near the bone when checking the internal temperature or it will give a hotter reading than is actual.

What are some side dish favorite recipes to pair with this easy weeknight meal?

There are so many different recipes that you could pair. A simple side salad is a great addition, or you can easily add any other low-carb substitutions as well to this meal. You can’t go wrong with your choice.

  1. Since I don’t have an “Air Fryer” (used to, but it never WOWed us! So, we gave ours away).

I love pork chops! This sounds delicious. Can I cook this in the oven? For how long & what degree?

I have followed you for the last year when I started “Keto” & I LOVE your advice, recipes & pictures of your recipe.

    1. Sure. I would bake them at 400 and start temping at around the 15 minute mark. The time to bake will vary depending on the exact thickness. For the best results I would sear them first in a skillet and then just finish in the oven. With that method they may only be in the oven for a few minutes.
