Air Fryer Pork Roast
With just four simple ingredients and under an hour of cooking time, this tender, juicy Air Fryer Pork Roast Recipe is the perfect easy weeknight dinner. If you love a roast with a crisp outer crust and a moist, melt-in-your-mouth center, this recipe delivers every single time.
This recipe has become one of my favorite ways to cook pork loin because it requires almost no prep and turns out juicy and flavorful with very little effort. Whether you’re making a simple family dinner or prepping meat for sandwiches and leftovers throughout the week, this air fryer pork roast is an easy option you’ll come back to again and again.

The rapid air circulation of the air fryer locks in the juices perfectly. It pairs beautifully with these Air Fryer Roast Vegetables for a complete meal.

Before You Get Started
- Choose a pork loin roast, not pork tenderloin. Pork tenderloin cooks much faster.
- If you have time, allow the roast to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before cooking.
- Pat the pork dry before adding the oil and seasonings.
- Use a meat thermometer for the most accurate results.
- Let the roast rest before slicing so the juices stay in the meat.
Ingredients
- Pork roast – A 2.5-pound boneless pork loin roast works best for this recipe.
- Olive oil – Extra virgin olive oil helps the seasoning stick and crisps the outside of the roast.
- Kosher Salt & Black Pepper – Simple seasonings that let the natural flavor of the meat shine.

How To Make Air Fryer Pork Roast
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and lightly coat the basket with non-stick cooking spray.
- Season the Meat: Rub the pork roast with olive oil, then season generously on all sides with salt and pepper.
- Air Fry: Place the pork in the basket. Cook at 400°F for 30 minutes, flip the roast, and cook for an additional 20 minutes.
- Check Temperature: Ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F using a meat thermometer, then let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Storage
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. You can slice them thinly before storing and then use them in sandwiches right from the fridge.
You can also freeze a cooked pork roast. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then aluminum foil. Freeze for up to 3 months.
To reheat leftover pork roast, warm it in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes or until heated through.

Variations
- Garlic Herb Pork Roast – Coat the pork with garlic powder and your favorite combination of dried herbs.
- BBQ Pork Roast – Add BBQ rub before cooking (we like this Smoked Paprika Rub) and then brush on some barbecue sauce when you flip the pork.
- Cajun Pork Roast – Cover the pork with Blackening Seasoning before cooking.
- Honey Mustard Pork Roast – Rub the outside of the roast with equal parts honey and mustard when you flip it.

Common Questions
How do you check the internal temperature of pork roast?
Pork is safe at 145°F followed by a rest period. Remove the roast when it reaches 145°F in the thickest part and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
What are some ways to use leftover pork?
Once you cook this pork in the air fryer, there are so many ways that you can use the leftovers. Some fast and easy ideas are to have pork sandwiches, or mix some seasoning mixture with the pork and have pork tacos, too.
I’ve even made some delicious pork nachos as well! Chop the pork, sprinkle over keto tortilla chips or wedges of bell pepper, top with cheese, and bake until hot.
What side dishes pair with air fryer pork roast?
There are so many great options to pair with this protein. As a main dish, pork pairs well with dishes such as roasted root vegetables and cauliflower rice, which provide nuanced flavors to the protein.
Pork also goes well with dishes such as braised cabbage and mashed cauliflower, which add texture and weight to the meal, while still providing balanced flavors to the protein. A big hit is always gravy, but if you’re cutting calories, don’t forget that steamed veggies or a side salad are all great choices, too.
You can even make the whole meal in the air fryer by pairing with Air Fryer Frozen Brussel Sprouts and Air Fryer Delicata Squash.
Can you make this recipe using different cuts of meat?
You can use this air fryer method for pork chops or pork tenderloin, but you must adjust the cooking time. Smaller cuts cook much faster than a 2.5-pound loin roast. Always rely on your meat thermometer to hit exactly 145°F.

Delicious! Thank you for sharing. The whole family loved it.
I do not have an air fryer. What would my other options be? How do I cook in crockpot or oven? Thanks so much!
You can roast pork at 375 for about 60-75 minutes for a 3 lb pork loin. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 140 and then cover it and let it rest to reach 145.
