Everything Bagel Dip is an easy side dish or party appetizer. With the best flavors from a classic everything bagel with a fraction of the carbs, you will feel zero guilt indulging in this creamy goodness!
My older kids love everything bagels. We have everything bagel seasoning ready in the pantry for the sad days when there are only plain bagels in the house so they can sprinkle the tops with the seasoning anyway. My husband and I have been known to just take a spoonful of cream cheese and top with the seasoning and eat it right off the spoon.
I wanted to come up with a new way to enjoy the myriad of flavors in everything bagel seasoning. This healthy dip really hit the spot!
Ingredients
Cream Cheese - I use regular full fat cream cheese but a low fat cream cheese would work as well. I do not recommend fat free cream cheese.
Sour Cream - I also use full fat sour cream but low fat sour cream would work.
Everything Seasoning - You can make your own or buy this blend. It does save time to just buy it at the store but I like making my own at home to tweak the ingredients.
How to Make Everything Bagel Dip
It is very easy to make everything dip. I use a hand mixer to make it smooth but you can mix with just a wooden spoon if you want.
Step One: Just blend together cream cheese and sour cream,
Step Two: Add the everything bagel seasoning. That's it!
Variations
Yogurt - Sub in plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream or the cream cheese. Trader Joe's everything but the bagel dip is yogurt based.
Jalapeno - Add some very finely jalapeno peppers for a bit of heat!
Bacon - Mix in some cooked crumbled bacon pieces.
Seasoning - Vary the seasoning ingredients. Add black sesame seeds, onion powder, skip the salt, or omit sesame seeds. It is easy to change this to your preference or to cater to allergies.
Everything Bagel Cream Cheese - Use all cream cheese and then use this as a bagel spread.
Common Questions
What is Everything Bagel Dip?
Everything bagels are typically covered with a combination of dried minced onion, dried minced garlic, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and salt. This dip uses the same seasoning while keeping your snack low carb.
Can I Make the Everything Bagel Seasoning from Scratch?
Absolutely. There is a recipe for everything bagel seasoning blend below. However, it might be cheaper to just buy the pre-mixed seasoning instead of all the individual ingredients. My local bulk store, Costco, sells a huge canister of it for around $5 and Trader Joe's sells a small one for $2. I know that it would cost more to make the same quantity at home. Learn more about herbs, spices, and seasonings HERE.
Can I serve this hot?
Sure! It is delicious cold, warm, or piping hot. To warm it up just microwave it covered for a couple of minutes or you can bake it in the oven for about 15 minutes.
What to Serve with Everything Dip?
This dip is great with just about anything.
Raw veggies - Cucumbers and thinly sliced zucchini, baby carrots or carrot sticks, celery sticks, raw bell peppers, broccoli, and cauliflower are great choices.
Mushroom caps - Use the dip to fill mushroom caps for a fun presentation.
Avocado Toast - Use it as a spread for avocado toast.
Plain - Just eat it with a spoon!
Conventional Dippers - If you aren't eating low carb or keto try it with pretzels, pita chips, potato chips, or bagel chips.
How do I store this?
Make sure to keep this dip in the fridge.
Unfortunately, cream cheese does not freeze well so I don't recommend freezing this.

First time making this and omigosh is it ever delicious! So easy and addictive. Serving it alongside a charcuterie board for holiday guests tomorrow. I'm confident it will be very popular and something I will make again and again.

Haven't tried, but all variations sound really good. You mentioned it could go on avocado toast and I was thinking another variation, which if color chang wasn't an issue, add pureed avocado to whole mixture. A little more seasoning might be needed, but, it might be good!!
What do You think?

I think that would work 🙂

Taryn, this was so super yummy! I made it today for my cold meat and veggie tray as a light lunch and it added a healthy dipper for the veggies. I made the recipe just as you posted and it went together quickly and so easy to just stir everything together. Thank you for the recipe - I always look for something interesting and new on your site.

oh man. Thanks for this! Obsessed with Everything Bagel seasoning, but not a fan of the bagels that tear up my belly! Trying this today. I think I'll lighten it up with fat free Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
