Preheat a large skillet in the broiler for 5 minutes.
Add butter to the skillet.
Once the butter is melted, add the scallops to the pan. Return to the broiler.
Cook for 2 minutes then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
The scallops are done when the internal temperature reaches 125°F. Since they continue cooking when removed from the broiler it is best to remove them at 115°F.
