Place the filets in the frying pan and cook for 2 min per side until a crust forms. Flip the steaks.
Reduce heat to low. Add the butter to the pan.
Use a spoon to spoon the melted butter on top of the beef. Continue cooking and basting the steaks with the butter for another 3-5 minutes until your desired doneness.
Remove the steaks from pan and plate. Pour the remaining butter over the top and serve.
