Lay salmon in frying pan skin side down and cook for 3 min.
Turn the pan to low. Add the butter to the pan. Add dill and tomatoes, if using.
Use a spoon to spoon the melted butter on top of the salmon. Continue cooking and basting the salmon with the butter for another 3-5 minutes until your desired doneness.
Remove salmon from pan and plate. Pour the remaining butter over the top and serve.
