Learn how to grill asparagus on the grill quickly, and get that tender and flavorful, fresh grilled asparagus every time. I also share a recipe for a homemade sauce that you can drizzle over the top, which elevates the flavor. This grilled asparagus recipe is the perfect summer side dish.
First, trim the ends from the asparagus. Toss asparagus with olive oil and 1 tablespoon sesame oil. Sprinkle with salt. Heat grill to 400 degrees, spray with non-stick spray or line with foil.
Place asparagus on the grill for 8-10 minutes turning halfway through.
In a medium sized bowl mix together mayo, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Stir until well blended.
Remove asparagus from the grill. Drizzle generously with sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Option for Oven Roasting:
If roasting heat oven to 425. If roasting spread on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. Following #3 and #4 above to make the sauce and serve.
