In the warmer weather we eat salad with dinner almost every night of the week. Caesar is our favorite (even with my two year old). Salad without croutons just seems to be missing something. I try to keep a batch of these on hand for that missing crunch.
There are two varieties to choose from. You can either make the dough to my Braided Garlic Breadsticks or my Herbed Focaccia. The doughs are very similar with different topping. The Garlic Breadsticks are heavy on the garlic and the Herbed Focaccia has a little garlic but a variety of herbs.
Choose either dough and prepare it according to the instructions. Press it out on a small cookie sheet and top as directed. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely. Cut into cubes. Bake at 300 for 30-45 minutes until crunchy.
