I’m sure you are here for two reasons. The first is you are wondering what a bump box is and why Taryn from Joy Filled Eats would be reviewing one. And the second is you are wondering what the big news is!
I won’t keep you waiting too long. A Bump Box is a subscription box of wonderful things for expecting mothers. So, obviously, my news is that I’m pregnant! This was our little peanut a couple months ago at my 8-week ultrasound:
We are very excited to be welcoming our fifth child in September. I am 17 weeks along now and feeling pretty good. If you look back through my blog archives you may have noticed that the number of recipes I was churning out dropped drastically in January. Ahem, all day nausea. And exhaustion. I’m still feeling more tired than usual (I’ve adopted a bedtime no later than 10 pm) but I’m happy the nausea is pretty much gone.
When I had the opportunity to review a Bump Box I jumped at the chance. I’m not much of a girly girl. I wear makeup about three times a year, rarely paint my nails, and prefer flip flops to high heels. I don’t enjoy pedicures (I’m much too ticklish) and don’t spend much time applying creams or lotions.
I’m also a typical mom who buys things for her children before herself. So to get a box of nice things just to me was pretty wonderful. It is nice to feel loved and pampered and I really felt that way when this pretty pink box appeared. I would highly recommend it as a little pregnancy splurge for yourself or someone you love.
Isn’t the packaging adorable? Seriously.
Bump Box is offering my readers a code for 30% off your first box monthly subscription box, free shipping, and a free Glow Organics 9 Bath Bomb!
And they are offering a giveaway for a Bump Box as well! That is at the bottom of this post.
And yes, I got to pick my own coupon code. How much fun is that? 🙂
And here are the contents of my second trimester Bump Box:
Eco Vessel Water Bottle – I really did need a new water bottle so I was happy to see this included. It is always important to drink enough water and it is especially important when you are growing a tiny human in your belly. I liked the design of the bottle and that it is BPA free and made from 100% recyclable materials.
Acure Coconut & Argan Oil Towelettes – These are great for traveling. They are also all natural and biodegradable.
Pearhead Love At First Sight Sonogram Frame – This may be my favorite. It is the type of thing you get as a gift for your first gift, not your fifth. But I truly believe every baby is special and should be celebrated! I can’t wait to put a picture of our little one in it after our ultrasound in a few weeks.
Glow Organics Belly Butter – After having four babies already I have my fair share of stretch marks. I’m not concerned about getting a few more but as my belly stretches the skin will get dry, tight, and itchy. I know from experience. I like having a completely organic, unscented, made in the USA product to relieve my aching belly.
ToGoSpa Under Eye Collagen Masks – I cannot wait to try these. I know I look as tired as I feel. Next time I’m leaving the house to go somewhere more important than the grocery store I’m using one of these first.
EcoTools Smoothing Spa Cloth – This looks like a great washcloth to share with my baby. It is soft and made with organic cotton.
